I posted this in a previous post. My issue with ULC is not their fee, but rather the fact that they are too careless and reckless with who they [may] ordain.

Wanting an even clearer picture of the situation I went back to the lesson on ordination that had info from the ULC site, here are a couple of things I found:

We accept Everyone From ALL Faiths, Beliefs & Religions.
(I don't understand how this can work out)

No Requirements Or Commitments EVER!
(What about accountability?)

The Universal Life Church is interfaith and totally non-denominational so no matter what your beliefs are or religion may be, you are welcome at the ULC.
(I can understand the interfaith and non-denominational "thing", but to say that "no matter what your beliefs are..."/I once knew of a female methodist minister who belived God was a woman and spent time at a retreat that worshipped the goddess Diana -- that's not biblical, so if that's allowed ULC is in trouble)

We ask only that you promote the freedom of religion and do that which is right and it is up to the individual to determine what is right
(Staying within the bounds of legal, this is still not biblical, God has to determine what is right, man doesn't have that capacity - this makes it so easy to call evil good (& thereby good evil)

All of this info was taken from their home page. I thnk it shows a real lack of responsibility. I do have a question concerning this: Could one of a pagan religion receive ordination via the ULC? If so that places it in opposition to the One True God (you can't serve 2 masters -- Jesus' words) and therefore makes itself of ill repute for the truly godly.
