AT LEAST THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY LIKE BETTY ON THIS SITE! I totally agree with you. Betty is absolutely more beautiful and pretty than Zhao Wei will ever be. I also hope that Betty will defeat Zhao Wei, becuase there would never be a Xiao Yan Zi (Tieu Yen Tu) better than Betty. Even if Betty played Xiao Yan Zi in parts 1 and 2 of the series, I would still like her. Yes, she is the betty Huang Yi you're talking about. and the Betty that everyone likes. She's very pretty and I think that she and Leo (who plays Ngu A Ca, Vinh Ky) are a really cute couple. I hope they're dating in real life!

i like Huang Yi too....but still...zhao wei is the best Little Swallow...she's beatiful,talented and very adorable....and i love her very much, especially her pearl eyes.... People fall in love with Princess Returning Pearl because of HER, can't you see it? and i think Zhao Wei with Leo Koo are really the best couple

Sure she's a great actress, however still not as good as Vicki! I mean, if you think she is as good as Vicki and a better swallow, then how come she is NOT named the next 'Little Swallow'? Vicki is still THE 'Little Swallow'! She is UN-replaceble! And for Betty to beat Vicki is HARDLY a possibility, seeing how Vciki is so famous now, Betty has a LONG way to go if she is to bet Vicki! So of course, Vicki is still THE UN-replaceble 'Little Swallow', and not to mention one of the MOST famous asian stars in Asia! Betty is will have to work VERY hard (probably many years of work) to beat Vicki!

But I won't disagree with the fact hat Betty is a great actress to...just that for her to beat Vicki seems HARDLY a possibility!

How can you people say, just by one movie, that someone is a better actress than someone else? I bet that Zhao Wei and Betty Huang Yi have no harsh feelings towards each other. I believe that the film company must have asked Zhao Wei to be Xiao Yan Zi before they hired someone else. Zhao Wei didn't want to be Xiao Yan Zi anymore. Why accuse Betty Huang Yi of trying to steal the part away from Zhao Wei, and try to be a better Xiao Yan Zi? What kind of blockheads are you, trying to argue this? Zhao Wei and Betty Huang Yi are probably both laughing at you right now. I think that Zhao Wei was a great Xiao Yan Zi; I also think that Betty Huang Yi was a great one too. They both brought their own unique acting styles to the show. They were both great assets to the different Huang Zhu Ge Ge chapters that they acted in. Zhao Wei did a great job in the first two HZGG chapters; she was great at doing the action scenes and the playful scenes. However, in HZGG3, I think that it was a good thing that Betty Huang Yi played the part. Betty seems more serious, more adultlike, with a bit of playfulness. This is good, because by the 3rd HZGG, Xiao Yan Zi must have grown up. I agree, there was less action in HZGG3, but then, if you consider the story that was being created, it did not require a lot of action. On the contrary, it required a more grown up Xiao Yan Zi. I believe that the end results here of HZGG1,2,and 3 were all appropriate. Besides, everything has already been done. We can't go back in time and fire Betty Huang Yi and rehire Zhao Wei, now can we? Let's end the fight here, and go on with life. Both actresses will probably want this to end too.

I think zhao wei is way better than Betty Huang Yi.
Just because Betty Huang Yi is in Huang Zhu Ge Ge 3, it dosen't mean she's the best. I really like zhao wei because she is cute,smart and she also has a lot of action.

Whoever wrote this, you are such a B****! Zhao Wei isn't and never will be the prettiest girl in CHINA! I'm half chinese and viet, but I'm more Chinese and I was absolutely offended myself when she wore that Japanese flag, or whatever it was. Betty would never do anything like that! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? The reason why Zhao-what's her last name? (being sarcastic)-Wei didn't want to be in the third one was because she was STUCK UP herself. SHE's so self-centred! Well, both of them have their different ways of portraying the characters of xiao yan zi..
Many pple seems to feel that huang yi isn't the right choice to be xiao yan zi, i feel that this is so as they were like very used to vicki liaoz.. that's what i felt when i first time watched Huan Zhu Ge Ge 3.. however, after watching it, i notice that the new couples (xiaoyanzi & yongqi) have the same chemistry as the previous one..
Also, huang yi has well portrayed xiaoyanzi.. anyway, me also hope she'll be coming to s'pore to promote the show..

Yes, they are both different. But WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? Bad-mouthing Betty like that. BETTY AND LEO ARE THE CUTEST couple in the universe and nothing can change that. Vicki and Alec, I habe to agree with you though, are a perfect couple. But Leo and Betty are much cuter. Can't you see the on-screen chemistry between them? It was so romantic! HI! I read this Message Board and to me it's really funny. I understand both side situation. You both have yours Idol and love them so much. I do too. My Idol before is Zhao Wei, she is number one to me. Not just in Hzgg movie and in all other movies. I love her not just her acting, but also her personality. Then when I heard that she will not be in hzgg3, I'm felt very sad and angry. I don't want to watch hzgg3 any more, thinking that will be no more exciting movie. Then later on I decide to watch it, not just to finish the hzgg movie, but also to see how well the actress and actor acts. I watch the first 2 episode of it, it's funny I think. But later get into the movie it begin to be sad, and I can't stand when I see Huang yi( xiao yan xi) cried. I feel bad for her. Then I realize Xiao yan xi in part 3, not like other 2 part. She is growing up, and lots difficult situations has happen to her. Its hards for a new actress like Huang yi to act in this character. Not just trying to be Xiao yan xi well, she also have lots force and non support from all of the newpapers. They use to compare her and Zhao wei who is better in Xiao Yan Xi character; of course every one will say Vicky, but hey have every one try to understanding Huang yi problem. Zhao wei have done such a good job on hzgg 1,2; but when she was so young and funny. Now Xiao yan yi have growing up as a mature wife act by Huang yi. It's much different now. So I think you both side should understand for both of them. Any one that in Zhao wei side should give Huang yi a chance! And so are in Huang yi side. After watched the movie, I had fall in love with Huang yi by her sweet little smile, a beautiful face, also a hard worker trying to be good as Xiao yan xi; so no one can dissapoint this movie. So u have to love her for that right. To me, you can't compare them; they done such good job on this character; Zhao wei as a funny, energetic young girl; and Huang yi played the mature growing up trying to be a good wife. I'm sorry that I talk so much. I hoping after my message, all of the reader can understand the situation of Vicky and Betty in ...
