You really cant compare these two. Zhao Wei played the adolescent energetic XYZ while Betty played the more mature grown up version.

HI! I read this Message Board and to me it's really funny. I understand both side situation. You both have yours Idol and love them so much. I do too. My Idol before is Zhao Wei, she is number one to me. Not just in Hzgg movie and in all other movies. I love her not just her acting, but also her personality. Then when I heard that she will not be in hzgg3, I'm felt very sad and angry. I don't want to watch hzgg3 any more, thinking that will be no more exciting movie. Then later on I decide to watch it, not just to finish the hzgg movie, but also to see how well the actress and actor acts. I watch the first 2 episode of it, it's funny I think. But later get into the movie it begin to be sad, and I can't stand when I see Huang yi( xiao yan xi) cried. I feel bad for her. Then I realize Xiao yan xi in part 3, not like other 2 part. She is growing up, and lots difficult situations has happen to her. Its hards for a new actress like Huang yi to act in this character. Not just trying to be Xiao yan xi well, she also have lots force and non support from all of the newpapers. They use to compare her and Zhao wei who is better in Xiao Yan Xi character; of course every one will say Vicky, but hey have every one try to understanding Huang yi problem. Zhao wei have done such a good job on hzgg 1,2; but when she was so young and funny. Now Xiao yan yi have growing up as a mature wife act by Huang yi. It's much different now. So I think you both side should understand for both of them. Any one that in Zhao wei side should give Huang yi a chance! And so are in Huang yi side. After watched the movie, I had fall in love with Huang yi by her sweet little smile, a beautiful face, also a hard worker trying to be good as Xiao yan xi; so no one can dissapoint this movie. So u have to love her for that right. To me, you can't compare them; they done such good job on this character; Zhao wei as a funny, energetic young girl; and Huang yi played the mature growing up trying to be a good wife. I'm sorry that I talk so much. I hoping after my message, all of the reader can understand the situation of Vicky and Betty in ...

i agree totally with Annie. i'm a fan of huang yi myself but i'm not bias towards any of them. i just think that both of them have their own strong and weak points so it would be unfair to compare the both of them.
