Subject: How do I get my girlfriend back?

I dated my girlfriend for two years, one year into it she started talking about marriage. Being my first love I was unsure about whether or not to marry without any comparisons. So we were at the two year mark and I told her I thought we should date other people. She had no idea I was her first for everything, I was embarrased to tell her because I was 23 when we met. We broke up and she went off and got into a new relationship within three weeks from are last good bye. It has now been eight months and I am still heart broken. I have told her how I feel and she does not care, she wants to see where this new relatioship is going to lead. She is 24 and he is 33 and he is a established engineer and also of a different race. I am 26 have a decent job and I am still in College. I want so much to have her back now that I am sure of my love for her. She says she wants a friendship with me and that is all, she also says she feel like she has lost her best friend. But still wants to see where this new relationship
will end up. Should I give up and just have nothing to do with her and wish her the best. Or should I try to have friendship with her hoping the relationship she is in will fail and I may have another chance?
