NAME- Azami
AGE- Young adult (about 2 years I guess; the same age Kiara was when she met Kovu for the second time.
SPECIES- Lion
GENDER- Lioness
ALIGNMENT- Pridelander (I was going to be an Outlander, but it appears that you need more Pridelanders)
PICTURE- None at the time being, but I'll try to get one up as soon as possible.
HISTORY- Azami was one of 5 cubs born to Taj and Jazka, members of a pride that resided in the jungle. However, grief struck the new parents as their cubs perished- one to a hyena, another was too weak, one to sickness, and the last killed by a nomad lion. Only one cub remained, Azami, the runt of the litter. Her parents looked upon her as a gift from the heavens.
Taj, her father, was the right hand lion to the pride's king, Mokkan. It was arranged that Azami and Mokkan's son, Kasim, would be betrothed later on in life. However, this idea was short-lived...another lion within the pride was rising to power. Naru, a previously nomad lion, dwelled upon the malcontent of the younger lions and used this to his advantage. He started to gain power and demanded that he become king. Mokkan was determined to not to give up his position.
Thus, a war erupted. Mokkan, Taj, and their loyal followers faught against Naru and his followers as Jazka looked over Azami and Kasim. The war was short, but bloody. Naru stood injured, but victorious. Mokkan was dead and Naru was to see to it that every last follower of the old king be disposed of.
Seeing his father fall dead, Kasim ran to be by his side with Jazka and Azami calling after him. Naru let the cub approach, then killed him with one swipe of his paw. Azami shrieked, causing Naru to spot them. Recognizing the two females as Mokkan's followers, he advanced upon them. Taj intercepted Naru, giving his family more time as Jazka picked up her daughter and fled. Taj gave his life for his family.
Jazka ran for days, stopping during the night to rest or drink. She mourned the loss of her mate, but continued onward. Then she reached the Pridelands. Finding the king of the terra, she describe to him her pride's war and her flight. The king offered Jazka a place within his pride and she graciously accepted.
Time went by and Azami grew. Her mother, Jazka was found dead of natural causes. Azami still lives as a Pridelander, but unknown to her, Scar's blood runs through her veins, a secret her parents never revealed to her...
