Species: African Lion with rather odd colouring, just like White-Death

Allignment: Outlands, for reasons stated in his history.

Description: Muscular, but still pretty lean, his fur is a dark gray, pretty much black, with a spiky ridged mane (like that of a hyenas, except longer) of a white colour, with stripes of black in it, and the tuft at the end of his tail is black and white as well. Optics are a vibrant yellow, and his nose is brown-black, rather than pink. The third toe on his left forepaw is white, and theres four white specks on his right hind thigh. (Ref pic here: http://fallenmercury.net/otherimages/xatari.gif but he doesn't have the full mane, just the ridge - artist's mistake ^-^)
History: His mother and father were killed, and so he ran off to raise himself, finding a lioness along the way. The two fell in love, but, she was killed as well, which caused him to go slightly mad. He believed the murderer of his mate to be a Pridelander, and though refuge would be much easier to come by there, he swore to seek revenge, and thus, even being a bit of an outcast/loner, joined the Outlanders.

Smart, fast, resourseful, courageous and kind, Nubia soon earned the respect of her pride when she saved the life of the alpha lioness from a hungry pack of Hyenas. But when her envious cousin, White Death, tricked the pride into beleiving that Nubia had planned to murder their leader, but had backed out and saved her at the last moment, she was banished. Wandering and survivng on her wits alone, Nubia found that she was accepted when she was in The Pridelands, and decided to stay there.

History: His great grand mother was one of Scar's followers. Arkaino's grandma was kicked out of the pridelands when she threatened the king's child. Arkano's mother, Tye, was an uncarring descendant that only knew the hard life in the Outlands. As soon as her pups were born she left, not even carring if they lived or not. Arkano was 2nd out of 3 pups. They were on their own for a day, crying. Finally a passing hyena heard them and after losing her own pups decided to keep the tree as her own. The pups were old enough to eat meat when their "mother" was taken down by a lion. Again they were alone and starving. Arkano's sister died first, he lived off her body for two days. Soon after Arkano's brother died of starvation. Arkano of course ate him too. After that he had traveled alone living off of left-overs from lion kills and sick small animals. He walks the outlands, watching for anything ill that comes his way.

History: Zen was the oldest of three cubs, raised by their father, King Jakei of the Ruines Pride. Her mother as the Queen Darion, originally from the river area. Being the oldest of her siblings, she was going to be expected to take her parents place, she was the air to royalty. This promise was broken by her youngest brother you over powered her and exiled her to the wastelands, the only proof of her once exceptance was the scar she had upon her back.
Zen has always had odd marking, her pelt is a darker cream, with a tuff of midnight black fur upon her head. She also bears marks that seem to look like tear drops under her eyes. Zen is strong and quick toungued, but perfers not to fight pyshically untill she need to. Keeps her personal facts to herself, as she wants nothing else but to forget her past in the Ruines Pride. Starting her new life in the Outlands.

Description: Strike is a thin, bony figure with a thick black mane and extremely long, thin whiskers. His tawny-brown coloring identify him as an Outcast lion... But his mane is parted like that of a pridelander's. His shoulders poke out of his long,thin frame - A tad physically impared, he does indeed have the brains to make up for it. He has a long muzzle and sharp teeth sitting inside strong jaws, and a furry chin. Mighty resemblant to Scar, some say... Though with significant differences in eye color - his are auburn - and in size. He is, in fact, quite tall and lanky for a lion his age.

History: The dark, feverent being that is Strike, descends from both branches of the savannah. He is, surely, a direct descendant of Scar - and yet, he seems to have Prideland blood in him. Born in the Outlands, he is one of few descendents or Scar who know of their lineage, though he is impure. His mixed lineage led him to be poked at and harrased in his early years, though he now has earned the respect of the Outlanders. He often wonders how - and from whom - he is connected by blood to Scar, and who from the pridelands sired or birthed him.

I never thought hyenas essential -
They're crude, and unspeakably plain.
But perhaps they've a *glimmer* of potential -

History: As her mother was not the matriach of the clan, she whelped her illicit pups outside of the territory and left them for dead. One by one starvation set into them, and one by one they died. Soon, Magharibi was the only one left. A kind young lioness, who had recently lost her own cubs, stumbled upon her. She allowed Magharibi to nurse from her own belly, taking care of her until she fell wounded during a hunt. She died that day, but bid that the hyena pup would feel no pain, explaining to her that a mother's love would always follow her. The pup missed her, of course, but she feels no sorrow. An odd contentness with the world around her remains far past what would be expected for one with her experiences.

History: Raised by a loving mother but an abusive father. He learned the importaint things early on in childhood. Trust is earned not given, never turn your back on someone you don't know, and never ever ever get into things that are none of your bussiness. If someone needs help leave em. It's none of your bussiness. Why should he waste his precious energy to try and save someone that will probably stab him in the back in the end.

He lived with his mother peacefully for a while until his father went over the line and struck her bringing Riktarn into a frenzy. He tore his father's throat out with his sharp daggerlike teeth and ran away from his old life for a new one. Though it was filled with torment and pain over leaving his mother he knew that she would never accept him for what he did. He was a cold blooded murderer. He murdered his own father right in front of his mother.

He wandered the deserts meeting a few friends but never staying long. He was always urged onward. He always left them empty and wanting more from him. He never showed emotion even though he had to feel the constant sorrow for his Sin. It was driving him mad and starting to become evedent in his dreams where he relived the moment over and over again in his sleep. Tonight was one such night.

He woke panting deeply and looking about quickly with a slight glare in his eyes. These were new lands. Better than the ones he had just exited from. The dry climate was doing horrors on his fur. He got himself up streatching slightly and looking about even more cautiously. He wasn't sure if this land was claimed but the rock formation ahead made him warry. It would be perfect for housing lions, and lions ate things like him. Riktarn had stumbled right into the pridelands and was staring at pride rock.

The outward appearances of the two adolescents are strikingly similar, leaving no room for the question of relation. A dark rusty brown covers their pelts, with only the vaguest hints of chestnut flashing. The tassels of their tails and the growing mane of the male bear startling contrast, a nearly pure ivory. Unusually pointed faces and slanted, silver eyes complete a picture of the utmost exotic.
Slightly larger than his companion though still fairly sleek stands the one dubbed at Pae'ro. A bright strip of white runs down his face from left to right, remnants of an old injury. It is the exact opposite of his sister's, and this is no accident. They are gifts of beauty bestowed upon them by their eccentric and sinister mother, Elue'wiet. A crooked grin and mischievous glint in his eyes are the only clues yet to his personality.
The female laughs under her breath, though at what it is uncertain. This is Mankai. Her gaze his dreamy and far away, lending the suspicion that she gained some of her mother's madness in her genes. A light, disarming smile, however, graces her lips.
By instructions of their now deceased mother, they are to separate now into the prides that will best cultivate their personalities. To Pae'ro, this means the Outlands, and to Mankai, the Pridelands. With an affectionate nuzzle, they leave each other.

NAME- Azami
AGE- Young adult (about 2 years I guess; the same age Kiara was when she met Kovu for the second time.
SPECIES- Lion

ALIGNMENT- Pridelander (I was going to be an Outlander, but it appears that you need more Pridelanders)
PICTURE- None at the time being, but I'll try to get one up as soon as possible.
HISTORY- Azami was one of 5 cubs born to Taj and Jazka, members of a pride that resided in the jungle. However, grief struck the new parents as their cubs perished- one to a hyena, another was too weak, one to sickness, and the last killed by a nomad lion. Only one cub remained, Azami, the runt of the litter. Her parents looked upon her as a gift from the heavens.
Taj, her father, was the right hand lion to the pride's king, Mokkan. It was arranged that Azami and Mokkan's son, Kasim, would be betrothed later on in life. However, this idea was short-lived...another lion within the pride was rising to power. Naru, a previously nomad lion, dwelled upon the malcontent of the younger lions and used this to his advantage. He started to gain power and demanded that he become king. Mokkan was determined to not to give up his position.
Thus, a war erupted. Mokkan, Taj, and their loyal followers faught against Naru and his followers as Jazka looked over Azami and Kasim. The war was short, but bloody. Naru stood injured, but victorious. Mokkan was dead and Naru was to see to it that every last follower of the old king be disposed of.
Seeing his father fall dead, Kasim ran to be by his side with Jazka and Azami calling after him. Naru let the cub approach, then killed him with one swipe of his paw. Azami shrieked, causing Naru to spot them. Recognizing the two females as Mokkan's followers, he advanced upon them. Taj intercepted Naru, giving his family more time as Jazka picked up her daughter and fled. Taj gave his life for his family.
Jazka ran for days, stopping during the night to rest or drink. She mourned the loss of her mate, but continued onward. Then she reached the Pridelands. Finding the king of the terra, she describe to him her pride's war and her flight. The king offered Jazka a place within his pride and she graciously accepted.
Time went by and Azami grew. Her mother, Jazka was found dead of natural causes. Azami still lives as a Pridelander, but unknown to her, Scar's blood runs through her veins, a secret her parents never revealed to her...

History: Her mother was killed by leopards when she was a cub leaving her to fend for herself. She met and was raised with another cheetah Willow with whom she fell in love. However a complicated sequence of events (which I wont go into too much detail about) meant that she and Willow were split up and she now travels in search of her oldest... and only friend.

History of the two: (it's LONG) In her adolesence a farmer caught Loa sniffing around his cattle. It was a case of her being in the wrong place at the wrong time. When a pack of Dholes (wild dogs that live in Asia, where clouded leopards are found) had attacked a calf and fled the scene as she got there. The calf died just as she found it and the farmer found her there not a few moments later. He shot her, the bullet just catching in the neck, a few centimeters from her wind pipe and vital bloodlines. And the farmer knowing that it was illegal to kill a Clouded Leopard due to the fact that they are on the endagered species list, took her to a friend of his that had a small traveling zoo/circus type thing.

Loa went through a year of abuse in that, where she was fed very little, poked and prodded at, and abused by her caretaker. The leader of this traveling circus finally died (he was a gambler in great debt and met with some...old friends...) so Loa and the rest of the animals were either set free or given away. Loa was given to a man, a bad man that put her through a terrible ordeal of animal extortion. she was starved, beaten, used in dog fights, and given a cage far to small to live in. There would come a day at one dog fight that she manage to escape by bolting out a window and shattering the glass. She took to the nearest forest where she hid in what seemed an abandoned fishermans shed. There she tended to her wounds and her broken spirit, and was now a very deeply terrified and untrusting leopardine. Too weak to care for herself, much less live much longer. But luck happened upon her the next day as she had drifted into unconciousness, an elderly fisherman stumbled upon her as he headed into the shed for his poles and a net. Pittying the poor creature he put her in the back of his horse-drawn wagon and took her home. He was a poor man that lived off the lands, and had a unique connection with the animals. He had quite a myriad of pets, though they were wild but came and went as they pleased. He placed Loa in his backyard which was fenced off, left her a good meal of fish he had caught earlier that day, and left his pet Dhole, Berkusio, to watch over her.

Over a span of a few weeks, Loa lived out back and began to heal, in both body, mind, and spirit. Though she was deathly afraid of the old man, she trusted him enough to eat the food he gave her, and even after he opened the fence, she returned, for he was the only kindness she had ever known. Berkusio stuck near Loa as protection and to serve as company when the jungle became dead quiet at night. Loa is highly suspicious of him since she had been beaten greatly by many canines, including dholes, in the dog fights.

As one could have guessed, Epsiloa Verlei is forever scarred by her hideous past. She trusts no one and nothing, save the old man and Berkusio. She is extremely skittish and terrified easily, dodging and running from the least little thing. She's overly paranoid of other wild cats and dogs, and suspicious of them all. She does not start fights, and will not fight, though if backed into a corner, she will do whatever neccessary to get away. When she talks she stutters, as if afraid to say anything to anger whatever it is she's talking to, and she shakes in fear almost constantly, she gets little sleep anymore. In her travels after the old man died, she happened to make her way to these lands. Berkusio still loyally following her for company and protection.

History(optional): She has roamed the desert all her life.. as you can clearly tell by her cloths and attitude towards other people.. she wears a black cloak, with an enormous hood covering her whole face, protecting her from the heat of the sun and of the people staring at her..
she carries a long speer with strings of long red silk around the top of the stick.. a sheath running diagonal around her chest with a sword in it "menloch" and two small daggers.
if you run across such a creature.. gaze into her eyes if you get the chance and see what she has been trough.. all her life.. as she walks through the lonely deserts with her strong paws.. kicking up the sand as she moves along...

Appearence - She has dark tan fur, and brown eyes. Other than a nitch in her ear, she's truthfully a rather average lioness, still with some growing yet to do.
History - Of a litter of five cubs, born to a lone lioness, only her and her brother Yami were left alive. The three formed a close-knit group for a time, determined to survive on their own. However, in an incident never to be forgotten, they lost their mother, and each other as well. Since then, Hikari has been seeking Yami, and he has been seeking her. She'll find him someday, somehow...

Allignment: Well, I want him to be a neutral lion, is that the untamables?
History: Bahatika had a rough cubhood, when he was young he went to the waterhole and was attacked by a crocodile. The croc grabbed his hind left paw, snagging it in his teeth. Luckily, Bahatika's dad saw and beat the croc off, but Bahatika's paw was mangled.
Later, Bahatika's mother and father died unexpectedly from a disease that managed to miss Bahatika. Bahatika was not very old, but old enough to live on his own, and sadly he set off to be a nomad, wandering the plains, acting tougher than he was. He had to, or he would become an easy target what with his mangled paw.

He has a rusty-brown pelt with lighter undersides, a black, Outlander nose, black hair, black-lined ears, and green eyes. How original. On each side of his mouth, three scars run over his lips. Three scars mark each eye. Three scars mark each ear. Three scars mark his nose. Three scars mark his neck.

-History-
While his mother was pregnant with him and his two siblings, she caught a fatel illness. That, combined with the stress of giving birth, killed her before the cubs were born. The pride of his mother tore her open to save her unborn, but Ukuba's two brothers were already dead from the disease. Ukuba was the only one left, and he was perfectly healthy. The elder shaman called him a bad omen, but the sister of the dead mother pleaded to let her raise the cub. It was agreed and he was adopted by his aunt, but things quickly changed. Two lionesses of the pride became ill and died in the same manner as Ukuba's mother had. Finally, when his aunt died, the Shaman-lion dictated that the cub should be exiled. Because killing the cub was believed to bring death upon the entire pride, the Shaman-lion placed ritualistic scars upon the cub: over the eye so he would not see, over the nose so he would not breath, over the ears so he would not hear, over the mouth so he would not speak, and over the throat so he would not live. They were done in hopes of ending his plague, so the that when his body died, his spirit would die as well and take with it its evil. Since then, Ukuba has been wandering, alone in the world with a growing disposition that is increasingly less sunny.

Allignment: Neutral, currently. She might be willing to join the Outlanders and will likely do most of her wandering in their lands anyways, but she still clings to her mother's ideals of being an Untamable, even though she was born long after the pride vanished.
Appearance: meduim, greyish-brown fur with lighter, more creamy undersides and paws, etc. She has golden eyes and black-brown tail tuft and ear fluf. Numerous scars an such. Her build is a weary one: wirey, stringy-muscled, thin, and worn. She looks easy enough to defeat in a fight, but one would be a fool to think she were an easy match.
History: She was the final cub birthed by Katili Mautinyata. Katili named her after what she was, Katili Mautinyata["bloodthirsty death goes silently"] and what she used to be, Anasa'ukilia["joy bringer"]. She roamed free with her mother, remaining prideless the whole of her life, but did pair up with the final son of Dioblo, Damu'Zimwi["blood demon"]. Their last [only?? o.o] litter of cubs born before Damu'Zimwi's death were Kayode["he brought joy"] and his sister Zimwi'Kikora["demon of joy"].

Ukomo: Ukomo is black with only a partial, red mane. Bangs cover the right side of his face where an eye is missing while his left eye is entirely white. His build is muscular and lean, though his limbs are slightly shorter and more muscled than most male lions due to patherine blood. This, however, also makes him a good climber of trees and quicker to speed when running short distances. He also has a panther's tail. Around his neck hangs a necklace with a piece of obsidian hanging vertically, his name inscribed upon it.
Utesi: Utesi is a vibrant red with black, bangs and leopard spots that run together. Her eyes are yellow with a bit of green. Like her brother, she is lean, muscular, and shares his height, which is the height of a normal lioness. Her limbs are less panther-like. She isn't as good at climbing trees as her brother, but she is far better than any pure-blooded lion. Her tail is something like a panthers, but not quite.

-History-
Ukomo and Utesi are the great, great grandchildren of Kimya the Silent and Katili Mautinyata. They are twins born from afar. When they were old enough, they left their parents in search of the lands from which their ancestors came, causing mischief[sp?] and running into plenty of trouble along the way. The pair have a great bond between each other that cannot be broken; they are "partners in crime". Ukomo is mute, a trait that can be traced far back in his lineage, and he shares a telepathic link with his sister[if Frosty allows it, that is].

Allignment: Im not with anybody really. I guess you could call me a nomad.

History: Kiya used to be with a pride, but the females were jeaolus( I know I probably spelled that wrong!) of her, because she had some special powers, like changing into her human form. So the females convinced their king to banish her, and of course, the king did. So Kiya has been alone ever since. She does however, meet a handsome young lion who is around her age, named Azran.

Description: Kiya, has white body fur,with light grey/silvery hair, and light grey paws, and the color goes up just above her paws, She has two blue markings on both side of her face that look like two blue lines. She has two weird black markings on her left shoulder and has a necklace that has a blue diamond at the end of it, which allows her to use her special powers (Wich inclued changing into her normal form, human)and, she has a golden braclet on her right front leg.Oh, she also has a light grey stomach.

Allignment: Neutral/Prideland [as in, hangs around Mfalme's lands a bunch and is more likely to give them aid than the current outlanders, but doesn't really wanna be a member]

Description: Stalky, large, muscular build. Fur is a pale grey, eyes a pale yellow. Undersides, ears, hair, tail, legs, nose, and maw are all grey-black, along with a grey-black patch around each eye. The spots on his body are a lighter shade of grey-black. His bangs are long and messy, usually having fallen in his eyes. He likes to keep himself distanced from others, but doesn't mind being around them as long as they don't bug him too much. Compassion is a rare thing in him, as he is more cynical and dark hearted. He rarely helps others unless it is to help himself as well. Unlike the vast majority of his breed, he is more calm than crazed, and though it isn't impossible, seeing him laugh is like witnessing a real unicorn graze before your very eyes.

History: Like so many hyenas before him, he was born to his own pack. Since birth, he had been the black sheep because of his personality. He was teased by his siblings and virtually unnoticed by his elders. Whispers were sent behind his back over one odd thing he did or another. Eventually, he left to be on his own, knowing he wasn't likely to find any other pack for him. His family only noticed his absance a month later when they suddenly realized he hadn't done anything odd lately. They never looked for him.

History : *snicker* Here we go. Kio was born in a completely different part of the world, where they have no knowledge whatsoever of the lions living here. He was quite happy, even as the scapegoat of his pride, but then famine struck their land and disease raged. At the first sign of danger, her naturally slunk off, therefore avoiding getting the disease himself. After a days journey, he found himself in a jungle (yes, the one Simba was in. But without Timon and Pumba *sob*). After living there for several years, Kio became adjusted to not having meat available, and began eating things like leaves and bugs, although the occassional meal on legs did wander past him, and then how could he resist? Anyways, to make a long story short, Kio kind of killed off all the big game in the jungle that was stupid enough to make noise, and has started back across the desert. Of course, it's not the RIGHT desert, but hey...

*other deep breath* "I'm gonna be a mighty king, so enemies beware! (Well I've never seen a king of beasts with quite so likke Hair) I'm gonna be the mane event, that no king was before! I'm brushing up I'm looking down, I'm working on my rooooar! (Well that's a rather.... uninspiring thing) Oh I just cant WAIT to be kiiiiiing! *doo doo loo do do do do la dooo, doo doo do doo do do do la doooo* Noone saying stop that! Noone saying see here! Allignment (Pridelands,Outlands,Untamables): Probably gonna get kicked out, but I'm gonna try the Pridelands, though his personality is going to get him banished.
Picture(if any, must show up on board): I got a description and will draw one over the weekend? A black lion with blood red paws, and if he was hanging upside down, it would look as if his paws were dipped in blood, and it was dripping down his legs, the last “drop” ending at where his leg meets his body, this is on all four paws. His underbelly is red, and his body the darkest black, though is eyes are even darker. They seem to be made of stone, because of how cold they are, and are almost solid black, though his pupils are red (think Gambit eyes, but really cold and full of anger). Around his eyes is the same blood red, little darker on the top, but falling down from his eyes are markings that look as if they are tears of blood. If he’s a liger and not just a lion, his strips are blood red, and look as if they are blood dripping down on his fur. He wouldn’t have a mane then, and no tail tuff, though the tip of his tail would be the same basic patter as his paws, the tripping blood. Can I pweas have a liger? Ain’t he nifty? And pretty??

finally got over her sisters death . and she had taken in the cub which had managed to survive the first few days when Koora had died, mainly because of her grief in loosing her sister. she now comes here in search of Koora's mate whom she had heard came here...
