NOW IS THE TIME for this Council and local governments all across the country including Municipal governments and Regional Board Governments NOW is when you have to start CUTTING BACK - not RAISING TAXES to pay for services that WE DO NOT WANT - SERVICES THAT WE DO NOT NEED - AND SERVICES THAT WE DID NOT ASK FOR..... Start at the TOP - Quesnel DOES NOT NEED 6 COUNCILORS In the Elections slated for November 2002 ELECT ONLY 4 COUNCILLORS And put them back on the Pay Scale of 1999..... That means to LAY OFF about half the present staffs of ALL of the above governments Start right here in the Cariboo by LAYING OFF the ENTIRE PLANNING STAFF OF THE CITY The ENTIRE PLANNING STAFF OF THE CRD Including most of the support staff of INSPECTOR OF all KINDS AND TYPES This is the time to LET THEM GO - THESE ARE SMART - CLEVER - WELL TRAINED PEOPLE - it is doing them an injustice to keep them restrained to their mahogany panelled air conditioned offices - turn them loose to the private sector - where they can realize their potential without the impediments of public service employment. GET REAL - THIS IS NO TIME TO START FOOLING AROUND WITH THE LIBRARY LAY OFF all professional STAFF and run the libraries with VOLUNTEERS For more details see this site.......
