"NOW IS THE TIME for this Council and local governments all across the country including Municipal governments and Regional Board Governments
NOW is when you have to start CUTTING BACK - not RAISING TAXES to pay for services that WE DO NOT WANT - SERVICES THAT WE DO NOT NEED - AND SERVICES THAT WE DID NOT ASK FOR....."

What services would that be? Water? Sewer? Policing?

"Start at the TOP - Quesnel DOES NOT NEED 6 COUNCILORS
In the Elections slated for November 2002 ELECT ONLY 4 COUNCILLORS
And put them back on the Pay Scale of 1999....."

Wow, to have all the decisions made by 5 people.

Actually, I think 6 can be a very reasonable number, only I think the way city councillors are elected needs to change. Instead of having a free-for-all where the 6 with the most votes gets elected, each area should elect one, dependent on population. For example: West Quesnel elects a councillor, Dragon Lake gets another one, North Quesnel, and so on.

BTW, over-use of CAPS is TRES ANNOYING.

"GET REAL - THIS IS NO TIME TO START FOOLING AROUND WITH THE LIBRARY
LAY OFF all professional STAFF and run the libraries with VOLUNTEERS"

Yeah, that'll work. Maybe the library only needs to operate a couple hours/week. Maybe you don't really need to find everything you want.

TURN OFF THE CAPS LOCK YOU STUPID TOOL.
