His legacy to the Stones is unparalleled, more so it seems than his peers, but still he is hardly recognized or acknowlegded. I think he lacked confidence and felt extremely insecured so turned to drugs for comfort, finding nothing but emptiness in them. His was a spiral downfall, a fallen angel perhaps sent to us then taken away so violently and so soon. After reading a book on his life, I felt great anger, not just towards his killer but towards the Stones themselves for making him feel so unwanted, so unrequired that he stopped caring, falling so desperatly.
Too bad he died so young, he had a lot to offer.
