Specific breeders are being harassed by one Rosemarie Zizzo, the "president"
of a fraudulent "organization", which she calls The Pedigree Cat Breeder's
Society. Organization. Some of those breeders are being targeted for the
fact that they advertise their cats on this site. The public is entitled to
the following information
on Ms. Zizzo and the PCBS:

-There is no such society. Ms. Zizzo incorporated herself in the Fall of
2002, in the state of California, as the Cat Breeder's Society.
-This organization does not have non-profit status, which it claims on their
website. The Secretary of State of California, has confirmed they are not a
5013c corporation. Complaints were sent to the IRS, about the fraudulent
claim, since Ms. Zizzo had been offering tax deductible receipts for a year,
in return for "donations".
-The "organization" is not copyrighted, as claimed on their website. Ms.
Zizzo has failed to understand the many communications from the copyright
office in Washington, that you cannot copyright graphics, words, common
phrases, and the communications of other people.
-The "organization" is not registered with any body, and is not legally
entitled to use the federal registration symbol of a circled R (R)
-The "organization" is not trademarked, as claimed on their website. Ms.
Zizzo has been advertising all these quasi-official status symbols for more
than a year and a half. She did not apply to the USPTO for a service mark
until May 8, of 2003. It has not been accepted, since the application was
incorrect, and complaints have now been filed against her and the
organization.

-Most importantly, neither this "organization", nor Ms. Zizzo personally,
have any authority whatsoever, to conduct investigations or mediate disputes
between the buyers and sellers of purebred cats. They have no ties to any
cat registering body, and no legal or official status to ask people about
your business as a breeder.

-Ms. Zizzo for years, sold unregistered kittens for less than the $500 she
demands as president of the PCBS, and also placed those kittens unaltered,
which is against the PCBS "rules" as well. Ms. Zizzo has now lost alll
privileges with CFA, after abandoning 13 of her purebred
"kittys", at the San Jacinto shelter in May of 2000, and five more of them
in June of 2003. She made no attempts to contact any rescue groups, nor did
she inform the original breeders of her plans, some of whom she was in
contact with, the same day she abandoned their cats. She may no longer
register or show a cat in the Cat Fanciers Association. But she never
registered most of the cats she bred over the last ten years, including
those she abandoned. Her kittens were sold without papers. Ms. Zizzo
attempted to avoid disciplinary action from CFA, by requesting that her
cattery be "retired". CFA allowed the retirement,and warned Zizzo if she
ever tried to reopen it or register cats, the charges which are well
documented, will be reopened.
Despite this warning, Ms. Zizzo registered with the CFA Mentoring program
and joined their email list as a "newbie" in November 2003, despite the fact
that she has been breeding for over ten years. She was promptly removed, and
reminded of the conditions of her cattery "retirement".

This person runs a site for those with a grudge, and actively encourages the
"mystery shopping" of breeders. Be aware that she will post your names and
personal details on her website, if the selling of your cats falls outside
of her "guidelines".

Also be aware that this person is being sought by her own prepaid legal
firm, to explain the lies she told them as the basis for sending letters of
warning to one breeder, and a letter to the RCMP in Canada, asking they
charge a Canadian breeder with theft of copyright from her site (which is
not copyrighted.) She is also being sought by the police.

It should also be known, that on January 9, the PCBS website posted an
accusation that breeder Melanie Lowry had been arrrested, jailed for 90
days, fined, and her 30+ cats confiscated. This accusation was posted with
no investigation, and with the note that "official" information would be
coming.

On Jan.14, Ms.Zizzo posted a retraction saying the official had confused the
file with someone else who was sentenced in October 2002, who had lived near
Ms. Lowry. This is also a fabrication. Ms. Zizzo had the full details of
that case on her website for months. And the number of cats involved was not
30+. That was specific reference to Melanien Lowry, made with the malicious
intent to damage her reputation.
Zizzo has tried twice, to have this breeder charged by the Cat Fanciers
Association and failed. She even contacted them to say she was sending proof
of this arrest and jail term.

Our site does not copy the PCBS. We report on its fraudulent activities, and
the libel it posts about other breeders who still have CFA catteries,
something Ms. Zizzo will never have again.
