I was 17 when I went to Powder Ridge, a runaway from California foster care system. I met the best friends of my life, and went on to Strawberry fields in Toronto the next week, where I turned 18 and someone on stage ( I think it was Ten years After) sang Happy Birthday to me. Now I am a foster parent with teenage daughters, it's so bizarre to take them shopping and see all the styles that were out back then. The style may be back, but that time of innocence never will be again. Those were the days, indeed. Lydia
