I didn't know the festival was cancelled until today. I arrived with a friend walking along a lot of secondary roads covered with people instead of cars. All sorts of shows and capitalist ventures were set up along the way: drugs and women with bare breasts. There were also those sitting by the side of road looking tired and depressed. I ended up staying with some capitalists in a van who only had sleeping room available under the van. I slept next to the van. At night women walked around naked from the waist down. I have only sketchy memories of the weekend. I slept a lot. I missed Melanie and the local bands. I remember a van with "sure" written on the side. I remember a redheaded freak circling the fence driving a motorcylce screaming "Maniac on the loose!"

The van group I was with procured one of the wood stalls and sold hamburgers. Their business plan: drugs the first day, food the second. I guess they didn't come for the music. The stalls were great the second night. One booth was lit by candles and had totally cool jewelry that I have never seen since. I saw "Alice In Wonderland" on the trees. My friend hired a wierd dude to watch me while I slept in the back of a stall. The dude slept on the shelf above me. Every so often I would wake up and most of the time my friend would turn up next to me. I was so tired Sunday morning. I slept through the selling of hamburgers (resold Mc Donald's). My code name was "Silver Eagle" or was it "Golden Eagle" or "Cosmic Control"? Anway, I went to spend time with a friend and hardly saw him after the first night.

I joined those getting clean in the lake. I think a photo of my naked back appeared in a newspaper somewhere. Anyone seen it? ;-)
