Ah! Got the dates mixed up. I was there on June 22 or 23rd. There's an article about in Time magazine archives, the July 12, 1971 issue called "Mud, Sweat and Tears in Louisiana". The name of that muddy river was the Atchafalaya. I surely would like to have a copy of the poster.
