When he proposed at that nice restaurant...the name is drawing a blank right now, but you guys were hugging and kissing and just being inappropriate! And do you remember why you never got married? Come on Ginna! TELL THEM WHY YOU DIDN'T GET MARRIED! Why...I'll do it for you! She didn't get married because he got arrested for marijuana posession! THEN he had to go to rehab! But he would have never gone had it not been the law! He's probably doing it again, and you're not going to get in on it!!!! YOU WON'T! I PROMISE you that!

I'm sorry....I can't! And I know you did drugs once or twice when you were with him because I could smell it on you when you got home late at night on the days momma had to work late! I had to be the one to wait up for you since momma was always working and you were always out. So I've ALWAYS protected you, and I can't let you go out tonight! If you leave with him, I'll get in my car and follow you, you won't get away alone! I love you but I just can't let you!!! And I'm sure everyone agrees with me! And you can rest assure that if he proposes again, I will oppose at the wedding. You know that part, if any of you oppose to this wedding, speak now or forever hold your peace, I WILL SPEAK!!

[pulls Ginna over to the side of the room and talks to her in low tones] I want to tell you something that I've only told to one other person in my entire life...Charlene. When I was sixteen, I went out with a man three years older than me and found out that he did drugs. I stayed with him when he told me he would straighten up, but I wasn't self confident enough to tell him how much I hated him when he was on drugs. Now, I know you don't have that problem, you take after Julia so much! But I want to warn you that people do crazy things when they're on drugs, whether they realize it or not, and I know that I was put in some pretty uncomfortable situations. I also know that it's possible for people to straighten out, and I trust you, as does everyone else in this room. If this boy has gone to rehab and you feel comfortable with him, then nobody in this room is going to stop you. We'll talk to McKayla, but remember that she is just trying to protect you. How about we come to a compromise with her, okay sweetie? Just to calm her nerves. [pats her on the cheek]

Ok, maybe you DIDN'T do drugs, even though a little part of me still thinks you did it once or twice but if you say you didn't, I believe you. And what do you mean I am CLOSE MINDED? I speak my mind..is that so wrong of me? I'm just trying to protect you. But what aren't you going to tell me? What do you think I'm too close minded to understand? I think it's probably best I know, because right now I'm not too happy with you! And it WOULD make me feel much better if you canceled your date, I just...it is just getting me all worked up, and I just might blow at the restaurant if he starts smoking or something that sort...I just couldn't take it. Now I know you're hiding something, I can tell by how red your face is. Your face turns red when you lie or if you're hiding something. So you best confess Ginna or things will get even WORSE!

Well you guys...I just got off the phone with John, he heard and I don't know how...but he heard that I was upset about the date. So we talked about it, and Ginna, I think that I trust you enough to go out with him. He says that he really IS changed and that if I smell smoke on you tonight I have the right to go and kick his butt. So you have my permission to go out with him. And I guess if you married him, I'd be happy for you. I love you Ginna, and I just want what's best. And if you really TRULY want to go out with John tonight, then go ahead, I won't wait up either.

She then searches the table for a menu. Upon discovering that all of the menus are taken she simply grabs Charlene's menu from her hands and becomes engrossed in studying it.

We found out when Etienne was at the hospital. We didn't want to tell you because we wanted it to be one big surprise, but seeing as how Etienne had a broken leg. we wanted to wait. So, now you know. Charlene, is this the same guy that your bathing suit fell off of that time you went water skiing? And y'all are related to Suzanne, you should know that she doesn;t understand the concept of give-and-take. The only thing bout that that she understands is the "take" part.

She sighs again, pausing to roll her eyes and smooth her skirt, "You all don't understand the ordeal I just went through... you know it's not everyday I get a phone call from someone saying my pig is loose in Atlanta! And I'm sorry Mary Jo that I didn't pick you up but I had to catch Noel!!!"

Well I don't know about you all, but I could sure use a drink. I know it sounds ridiculous, but JD had some wine coolers in the car, and I was so thirsty I drank an entire bottle. Suzanne fights laughing out loud at Mary Jo and is relieved when the waitor finally starts coming over with pen in hand to take their orders. Suzanne starts calling out her order before he even reaches the table.

"I'll have the pancake platter with extra whipped cream and strawberries... bacon..."

Suzanne catches herself after she spouts out "bacon" picturing Noel and forseeing the comments of her friends. She turns to Julia, "Don't even start with me this morning." Then she turns back to the waitor and continues with her order, "Also I want a side of eggs and two glasses of orange juice. And could you hurry up please?"

Suzanne looks relieved as the waitor finally brings over the trays of food. When he sets the big pancake platter in front of her Suzanne grins so big that her eyes squent. Despite her hunger she doesn't forget to place her cloth napkin in her lap before beginning to eat feverishly.

After Suzanne has some food on her stomach she leans back in her chair and lets a silent smile trace over her lips. Her eyes twinkle and finally she speaks, in a voice trying to conceal her excitement. "Well, I wanted to wait and tell ya'll later, but what the hell! I suppose now is as good of a time as any." She continues to grin widly and allows a little excited giggle escape through her lips. Suzanne pauses, wanting everyone to give her their full attention.

She clears her throat before continuing, "Well, you know those radio station contests? The ones where you have to be the 9th caller? Well...... the other day I was sitting around waiting for my nails to dry when they announced a particular contest, I knew I just had to be that caller! It took me a little while to get the numbers dialed but I managed to do it without messing up my nails and guess what?" She grins wildly, "I won!!!!" Suzanne takes a deep breath and holds up what appears to be tickets of some sort.

"This right here," She fans herself with the tickets, "...just happens to be ten tickets for a cruise to the Carribean!!!" Her voice squeaks with excitement. "Sooooo, I want you all to come as my guests! The only catch is that we have to leave this weekend... I know it's last minute but this contest really couldn't have come at a better time, with Bernice's birthday this weekend and all. Sooo..." Suzanne leans back further in her chair, "Who wants to go!?"

EPISODE #2 -- The Cruise

The day has arrived for Bernice's Birthday cruise to the CARRIBEAN.

Everyone is to meet at Sugarbakers with their luggage by 3:00 pm.

It is now 2:30 (People can start arriving at anytime.)

Here is the weeks schedule:
Day 1: (today) Fly to Miami and board ship, set sail.
Day 2: Full day at sea. (everyone can participate in activities on the ship, suck as the disco, shows, spa, games, casino, etc)
Day 3: Full day at the first port, St. Martin.
Day 4: Full day at the port St. Thomas.
Day 5: Full day at the port St. John.
Day 6: Full day at sea.
Day 7: 1/2 day at sea and arrive back in Miami. Fly back to Altanta that evening.

Suzanne's Mercedes screeches to a hault in front of Julia's house. As usual she checks her reflection in the rearview mirror before taking her time at getting out. The pops the trunk open, leaving it wide open and marches up the sidewalk to the front door, letting herself in. She goes over to the coffee pot and pours a cup of coffee, using the cow creamer and stirring the coffee before taking a long swallow. She watches McKayla rush up the stairs and smiles to herself.

She turns to Reese, "I left my stuff out in the car so it's easier to load into the van. How many cars are we planning to take?"

Well Suzanne darlin, good morning. And I think we'll probably end up taking 3 cars...I'll take mine...and I can bring 3 people. I'll take Julia, Ginna and McKayla and then Anthony can drive one with Etienne and Mary Jo and JD and then Charlene, Suzanne and Bill. Does that sound ok? And 5 rooms...well there's 11 people...so that's two to a room, three in one room. I get Julia. And McKayla and Ginna can stay together, Charlene and Bill, Mary Jo and JD and I guess Anthony and Etienne. Suzanne can stay with McKayla and Ginna. We should probably be leaving soon, so I hope McKayla and Ginna come down...I hope Anthony comes here soon so that I can load Suzanne's luggage.
