 MY GRANDFATHER, GRANVILLE BOYD VANN, WAS ON THIS SHIP. HE SERVED IN WW II. THIS WAS THE ONLY SHIP THAT I KNOW HE WAS ON PER MY GRANDMOTHER. THEY WERE MARRIED IN LATE MARCH OF 1945 WHILE HE WAS HOME ON LEAVE. HE HAD JUST RETURNED TO LAND FROM THE SS YOUNG AMERICA SHIP WHEN THEY WERE MARRIED. I TRIED TO CONTACT HOWARD LANDON'S FAMILY BUT THE EMAIL CAME BACK. I AM LOOKING FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THE SHIP. PLEASE CONTACT ME AT sdamen7@aol.com
