Subject: LST-266 Benzie County Author: DJ Lisman [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 11:51:54 09/10/08 Wed Just learned that my Grandfather's ship during WWII was the LST-266,and that he took part in the Invasion of Normandy. The only info about his ship I could get was from Wikipedia. I wish I could find more info about his ship and maybe even him. His name was Michael Lisman. I recently joined the Navy myself, and want to thank all the veterans for paving the way us younger sailors and making us all very proud.
