Still looking for anyone who knew my dad.
My dad, Frank Rogus who passed away in 2002, also served on board the Montauk as a QM2, as I recall from commissioning through the end of the war. I have some paraphernalia from him and the ship, including a commissioning pennant, a photo of him with an unidentified shipmate in Hawaii and an informal log of the ship's travels. I'd be happy to transcribe those notes and post the photo if there is any interest. And, I would be delighted to hear from anyone who knew my dad.
