 i am looking for anyone that might have known my father, William "Bill" McGee. He was at Sampson Naval Station shortly before the end of World War II. He graduated as a Pharmacist's Mate 3-C. From what i understand, he then went to the South Pacific and saw service with Marine Service Squadron 24, 1ST Marine Air Wing, Niight Fighter Squadron 15, Fleet Marine Air Wing and HQ Squadron 24. After the war he spent 21 months in Peking, China at the Non Yuan Airfield with HQ Squadron 24.
If there is anyone who might have known him please reply to this post as i am trying to learn as much as i can about his days in the service. As my son is as interested as i am or even more. Thank you.
