 Greetings. I realize this page is over 10 years old now, and I'm not sure if it is active anymore.

My Grandfather, Charles A. Parkis, served aboard the USS Marathon in 1944 - 1946. He was a signalman and was on duty the night the ship was torpedoed.

Charlie is currently 93 years old, and is living in Rock Hill, SC.

If any of you have photos or documents from that time period, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
