Hi - my father was on the LCT-855. At the time he went in the navy he was living in New York City. He is still living. He is 90 and lives in New Jersey. He was a boatswains mate and I believe he also worked in the kitchen. He was in from 1943 until December 26th 1945. I'm writing this for him because he is not so computer savvy. His name is Rudolph (Vinnie) Porcellini.
