Subject: No DeLillo in late 1944 in database

Thank you for your reply and I apologize for such a long delay. (I lost the bookmark to your site.)

The record(s) you found are indeed my father. He spelled our last name a few different ways back then (for some weird reason!). His birth certificate and all my Grandfather's records have DiLillo. As a teenager my father used that spelling along with DeLillo and DeLillio; eventually deciding to use the 'e' instead of the 'i'.
Anyway, I can send an image of his discharge papers which have the spelling you have plus the same serial number.

What other information do you have??
