 My father got his basic training in Sampson, NY in 1945. He graduated in April 1945 from company 180 Unit C. His name was William Leonard Hart from Montrose, PA. He was assigned to the USS Henrico in California but got sick and was never shipped out. He was medically discharged. I am his daughter looking for anyone who may remember my dad from basic training or in California.
