I'm the son(the youngest of 9 children) of Philip R. Dooley who sailed on the Cecil N. Bean covoys JW 62/RA 63 and JW 66/Ra 67. Loch Ewe to Kola Inlet and Kola Inlet to Loch Ewe. He trained at USNTC Sampson NY Co. 131 July 18 1944. I was just looking for any fellow shipmates/family that may have any memories or stories to share? My dad passed too early in 1973 after a career in Education and Politics in Massachusetts and I was looking for information about this part of his life...Thanks. Special thanks for this site and others that help find information about our WWII Veterans dad, moms and family/friends.
