 I was in boot camp at Sampson in December 1943 and January 1944, then went to RM School also at Sampson. Was assigned to an XAP Communications Team aboard the SS Young America, a Merchant Marine C-2 attack cargo ship. We landed army and marine troops at Leyte Gulf, Philippines in October, 1944. Looking for anyone who served on the Young America.
