 I know this is a longshot, but my dad, Ted Piti, was an Aviation Machinist's Mate, 3rd class with Navy 3149, Samar Island, in early 1945. Just wondering if anyone out there knew him, as he never really discussed his wartime history with me. Thnx in adv.
