 LST 266 was sitting high & dry on this British
Beach, along side of two other U.S. LST and then we begin to get shelled and all LST had to abandom ship until a Distroyer came and knock out the German 88 that was hitting us. what I remember about this wile we were

eminded them that the War was in the other direction, there reply to us was, they were taking a break and it was TEA Time Ed Dyar
