 I am making inquires re a neighbor of mine. Angelo Caropelo was in the Battle Leyte Gulf.He was assigned to LCI #1002 /Feb 1945/ Task Force 38, 7th Amphibious Force. He was wounded and place on a Hospital Ship LST #464.FROM 2/27/45 TO 3/5/45. He is having a problem trying to get his Purple Heart. Would appreciate any help.
