Hi Bob - I was at Sampson in Jan'43 and my second ship was the Tolland. Boarded her at Charleston, S.C. when she was commisioned and left her in Feb.'46, in Seattle. Do you remember Walt Zulker SK2c and Schmidt who became captain after Kingsland.
