 My father served aboard the USS Menifee 1944 -1945. I am trying to find more information about the ship, individuals who served at that time, and if there was a ship patch and if there is photograph or replica available. My father was Wesley D Jones (deceased).

Also just a view general questions. I would a individual rate to wear amphibious shoulder insignia?

What is 1-A Stations?

Would an individual have more that one duty aboard ship? My father was in laundry but he also talked of landing craft.

IS there a USS Menifee web site anymore and are there still reunions?

Thanks any info will be greatly appreciated.
