I got side tracked in my original response.

Regarding your inquiry about a DC area product from a hoops family over a NY stranger, I would have to say who'd have thunk it?

Lou you and I blew it. Instead of the reality tv show that I suggested earlier today, we should have produced a documentary. We could have filmed the lives of Mike Lonergan and Scott Hicks begining the day that a Catholic priest, rather than an Athletic Director with several decades of basketball knowledge, chose Hicks as Loyola's coach. With Hicks we could have shown how a sad state of affairs got even worse while with Lonergan we could have shown how an exceptional coach won a National Championship and was ranked as high as #4 in the country just a couple of weeks ago.

BTW, Johns Hopkins has now defeated both division 1 Navy and division 3 power Catholic this year. I have no knowledge of their coach but maybe whoever it is should be walking the sidelines at Evergreen next season. I can accept the fact that Hopkins has a better lax team than Loyola but when an argument can be made that they could beat us in hoops also then things have gotten out of hand.
