Let me start this off by saying I am a Christian, just on my own terms. It is not my intentions to change people's belief structures to suit my own.
Now the body:
I find sitting here, reading these and to tell you the truth, it's making me laugh a little. I see examples of "people's beliefs" being proven by points sich as "I go to church every sunday" paired up with statements such as "everyone goes to heaven because everyone is basically good." Now I am not saying that these are rediculous statements, just merely uneducated. Have you ever thought about the fact that in your personal belief system the chuch might be detrimental to your growth as a spiritual being? I, myself, am a christian, and I understand what it is like to have my own personal system of beliefs, which is why I say that the church could be bad for you. I have yet to hear of any denomination of the christian church that promotes the idea that all people can get into heaven. Every single church that I have been to takes the stance that "God is the light" and you cannot get into heaven without belief in God, and God specifically. You see, the bible has a million statements that, much like a song, can be interpreted in a million different ways. I believe that when the bible says that you can only get into to heaven with a personal relationship with God it means you can only get into heaven with the recognition of a higher being. So long as you know that you arae living well for something of substance and order. It is because of my personal belief system that have not attended church regularly in years. I can't seem to bring myself to worship in a place that tells me I am wrong in my beliefs, beliefs that I derive from the bible directly. I know that these ideas that I am concluding at this moment are incomplete, but I am about to fall asleep on my keyboard.
