Hello CJ, well I am glad that you are interested in dance. First, I must ask what attracts you to dance in the first place? What drives your ambition? Also, I am a little concerned with your fears that being a dancer means that you have shame to bear. Ballet, modern, tap...whatever the dance- is not something to be ashamed of. Dancing is beautiful, masculine (or feminine for girls) and taking the challenge is not for everyone. You are a little later than normal in starting but not that late. You are only 17 and although your body may be more developed than the average 10 year old, it is by no means too late. I need more information about you and why you are considering dance before I can continue.
