The problem you are having is a vaccume leak. You should get the intake manifold gaskets replaced. The leak is confusing the computer and thus, the reason for your idle problem. In detail, the reason why your computer is confused is because of un-metred air being pulled into the engine passing the mass air sensor. When the engine warms up, the manifold and heads expand and seal the leak. When pluged into a scope the computer will start picking random problems with the engines sensors even if thay are working just fine. I just changed the gaskets on my monte and now the car works just fine. Good luck.
