*The mare made a piercing whinnie out of fright and took a few steps back from the humans, her eyes wide with a thin band of white surrounding them. Blood trickled down her white sleek coat and her nostrils flared wildly. She took a few more steps back and her rump hit a wall. She lifted her forelegs off the ground in fright and lashed her hoofs at the air. Her ears were pinned back and blood splattered on her now tucking legs. The rope around her neck started to get tighter. She made a gasp for breath and landed on the ground slightly stumbling. She caught herself and slowly fell to the ground breathless. Her breaths seemed like long deep sighs of fright..*
