He pulled on a loose shirt over his leather breeches and boots. Already the heat was pouring through his window along with the wind. It was trying its best to warm the coolness of the room.
His head didn't throb this morning, though he'd slept rather late.

-The WeyrHealer and a 'Headwoman' are here.

'Headwoman is along the lines of Gisenne like at Telgar.'
A Headwoman? There was no notice of such. Willmina and I both would have known. Or was a scroll not delivered?

-I see.
Lerath answered.
-Willmina is sick. Shetanth has said.

'Sick?'
W'menel stopped a moment, ignoring Anise's playful tugs at the laces of his shirt's front.

-Cough, fever. Shetanth has said they may go to Caffrena Beach for sourfruit. She [meaning Willmina] always goes to get some when she is sick.

'Where is she now?'

-Shetanth says the Healer Rooms.

W'menel rose from his bed and went for the door.
If there was to be a trip to Caffrena Beach for sourfruit he would make it. There was no way he'd allow his sick Weyrwoman to jeopardize herself and health with a flight requiring her to go 'Between'.
