-There is a woman with a black runnerbeast here.
Shetanth had said many minutes ago.

Willmina reread the scroll from a woman by the name of Jullila and thought a moment. Hopefully, W'menel and N'gal wouldn't be put-out that a real gardner had come to the Weyr. Faranth knew, she hadn't put out a request for one. All the same, it would be nice to have fresh produce that the Weyr wouldn't have to pay hard-earned Marks for to keep everyone fed.
She knew that it must be Jullila since the woman had mentioned that she would arrive on her runnerbeast.
Rolling the scroll back up, she paused to hear the footsteps in the hallway that stopped at her door.

-Knock, knock-

"Come in."
Willmina turned to see the red-haired woman that entered and smiled.
"You are Jullila?"

Jullila paused, then shut the door quietly.
"I am, Weyrwoman. I applied for a gardner's post here."

"I know. Welcome to Minerva Weyr. Have you been to see our Headwoman or Weyrleader yet?"

"No. I felt it best to see you first."
Truth told, she always seemed to get along better with the Weyrwomen she'd met than any others in her past experience.

"So..You area a gardner. Faranth knows, we do need such a person to give us some vegetables and herbs we won't have to buy."

"Your gardens are in a sad state." Jullila started and then caught herself. Perhaps that was a little too outspoken.

Willmina gave a small smile.
"I know. We hadn't asked for any help. I guess it is rather evident."

Jullila knew she had caught the Weyrwoman a bit off-guard and the woman didn't appreciate that.
"I really do want to get them up and going."

"I'd like you to report to our Headwoman, Jelonna. You can tell her what you need. Any items out-Weyr can be gotten by one of our riders."

"Thank you, ma'am. I hadn't meant to anger you."

"You didn't. I just didn't anticipate such an honest appraisal of the conditions out there."

Jullila nodded, bowed and silently left to find the Headwoman.
