R'geto opened his mouth again, then closed it. "Weyrwoman, can you tell him that I don't want to take his position? It seems that there is a lot of antagonism towards Rireth and me. Not just here. But I really have no desire to be a Weyrleader. I would much rather be out. Like Searchers." R'geto finished. He loved the ocean and the wild open plains. He couldn't stand being in the Weyr every single day. I would go crazy too. Rireth commented quietly. Something wrong, Rireth? R'geto asked his bronze. Nothing. It's just... it seems like the queen can hear what I'm saying. And I don't really like that. Call me selfish but I want you to myself. Rireth hesitated slightly. It's alright Rireth. She's probably just checking us out. It's just nerves. Once we settle in, the feeling will go away. How about some food? R'geto asked. No. I should probably go talk to Adirath and Lerath. Why do others always have to judge us, R'geto? Is there something wrong with us? Rireth asked plaintively. R'geto sighed. He hadn't been with Rireth that long. Rireth was barely an adult. No. You're perfect. We'll just have to try and get to know these people. R'geto said firmly. Rireth sighed. I'll try and find Adirath and Lerath. But not now. R'geto nodded slightly. R'geto turned to the Weyrwoman. It would have been better if we were not the first bronze and rider here, Rireth. R'geto thought to his uncomfortable bronze. "Thank you for talking to me, Weyrwoman.
