yes the serpent is the best as far as i know, mind you i have never owned any one of these, but from what i hear the $erpent is the best and probably the most expensive. I don't particularly care for on-road, i get bored too quick, i need the off road, climbing, jumping, breaking, cartwheeling, flipping action. -- R/C Car Nitro and Electric Forum

The off-road buggies look like fun but seemed to spend a lot of time "on their Back's". The road racing looks wicked. The drivers state that after a 5 minute heat they are totally pumped. I'm trying to decide if I go 1/8 or 1/10 scale. I like the 1/8 cars better but I'm concerned about what level of skill and knowledge is required to run these cars. If your looking for an easier 1/8 scale to deal with look at the ofna gtp. Its really cheap and comes w/ .21 and a 2speed for around $350-400. i've seen some that have been clocked over 75mph. (NT) -- RCwhat, 15:02:07 03/05/02 Tue

Yup, I think that the Serpent is probably the best-known and winningest of the bunch. Still, I think for me it will be between the HPI Proceed and the Kysosho Fantom--I think that either car will be capable of winning if properly set-up, and it will be cool to win on a car that's not supposed to be in front.
