paul, while i would never deny that both missy elliot and mtv do in fact suck, i disagree with one of your statements. while a lot of talented artists came out of the 90's, i think it's unfair to say that all music today sucks and that all music from the 90's was good (ahem, vanilla ice, amongst others...). there was a lot of extremely sucky music produced throughout our childhood/adolescence. finally, there are a ton of talented new artists around right now, but you'll never find them on mtv.
