*Leopard cub lies restless, licking her dainty paws. Lonely, she awaits the return of her mother. She stays in the same spot, uncomfortable for she has sat for days on end now. Determined, she plops down again in the tall grass. Hearing a snort and galloping hooves, she ducks down, peering through the strands of grass. A herd of wildebeest passes by, still no sign of the young's mother. Hopeless, she whimpers, holding in her tears. She looks around, panicked. Her mother was gone- she always came back. But it had been days, weeks, maybe months. She yowls in depression, a forlorn look expressed on her youthful face*

Mommy? Gone? Forever? Noooo....nooo

*Her voice hushes as she rambles on, stuttering after each and every word*

Why'd she go?

*She questions herself repeatedly, never returning it with an answer*
