About the baby kidnapping, masked by arson, it strikes me that this happened in the U.S.A. just--what? 6 years ago? But the authorities told the mother her infant must've been so utterly consumed in a fire (which only wrecked one room), that nothing would be found. In some "3rd-world" country in which fire is still believed to be a deity, this might wash. Here it says nothing favorable about the investigating authorities. I'm no fan of the Plaintiffs' Bar but the proverbial 800# gorilla with the bad disposition can sometimes do good things inspite of himself. It would be pleasing to see some hungry young trial-lawyer who took good notes--taking that municipality to the cleaners. I can't imagine a morally defensible explanation for telling a distraught young mother such a bull shipment under the circumstances.

Regarding the woman who wouldn't have a Caesarean-section birth--Agree, that appearing to be far from the sharpest crayon in the box isn't a crime, and that refusing to submit to surgery shouldn't be.

OTOH the way I'm picking it up, her history may have something to do with how fast the surviving twin was adopted-out. No matter what sources you may prefer, the woman looks more and more like an ideal poster-child for restoring the lawful option of involuntary sterilization (with more safeguards on it this time). But I will try to defer judgement until the rest of this comes out. It appears there could be a lot more to come. RKBA! Regards, all.
