I spoke to Jim Ryan(Sr) last night. He asks that everyone assemble at 8:30 on Saturday morning. We will play at 9am.

In the past we have tuned up in the gym which is located accross the street from the Babylon Legion.

Well, that was embarassing.

4 Pipers and no bass drummer. We had a drum but not enough people to have someone play it. With the 2 snares and 2 tenors at least it was nice and even out there, so that's something... I guess.

And while the folks from the Post were very cordial (as they always are), it didn't feel very good to have that turnout at their County Convention.

Oh well ...

As you know we have a parade Saturday. We had a light turnout at last night's meeting and I really don't know who's planning on showing up.

Keep in mind that this is for our friends at the Legion and is a "rent payer". More than any other parade, I don't want to show up with 3 pipers, one snare and no bass, or some similar, or worse, combination.

As far as piping goes, I think(hope) we'll have at least 5-6 pipers. Drummers, please check in and let us know. I don't know about the Grahams or Lucille, Tim didn't know if he was working and I'm not sure if Lane said he could make it. Regardless of who is showing up we will at least need to have a bass drum at the parade.

I don't want to show up at the Legion wednesday night and have to explain a lousy turnout.

Marty
