Subject: Growing the pipe corps Author: Jim Ryan [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 14:23:34 02/27/02 Wed I had alluded to this in an earlier post, but I'm pretty sure I've confirmed it. I want to keep everyone informed about what's going on with the band. We will be getting two more pipers in the pipe corps after the St. Pat's season. They are both ex-Tara Pipe Band players and are both very good players. I spoke with one of them last night, who advised me he wanted to join a band he could be proud to say he is a member of, and our band is one he could say that about. Needless to say, that felt pretty good. Let's all try to keep the band's sound up where we've had it. We can easily improve it by playing our pipes at least twice a week. "Good things happen when you play your pipes". Hopefully, we can continue to get more players who want to be part of a band they can be proud of. Keep up the good work, everyone.
