I know you probably don't want to hear this but...

PLEASE don't give her up! She is in a good home and thats more than can be said for many of her fellow breed mates!
Plus you might really regret it later, "pits" are wonderfully loyal and lovable, more so than many other breeds, I implor you to try to seek out another solution!
maybe some kind of medicine for her rather than replacing the carpet? are you SURE she's allergic? a possible second opinion might be a good idea... I hate to seem rude or anything I just know how many of these dogs need good owners like you and how few good owners are out there to keep up with the demand for homeless dogs....

IF you do give her away PLEASE be VERY carefull!!!
Giving a pit away to someone who seems nice may not always be true they may abuse her, use her as a "bait dog" or overbreed her (as if there aren't enough pits needed home, there are those out there who CONTINUE to propagate them irresposibly!)
