Find a no-kill shelter that will accept these dogs ASAP. As a last resort you can always claim that the dogs are mixed breeds or are breeds that bare resembelence to the pit bull. These breeds include American Bulldogs, Staffordshire bull terriers and dogo argentino's. Note: The AKC name for the breed is the American Staffordshire Terrier and you can contact your local American Staffordshire Terrier Club to inquire if they have a rescue for this breed. Who knows they might take the dog's. You could also contact a friend and ask them to temporarily take in the dog until you either find a home or a rescue to take the dog.
