These 2 dogs showed up in my neighborhood, E. TC Jester just south of 34th St., last May looking lost and confused and have been seen on occasion ever since, but beginning in early early Oct. have been highly visible in a nearby field and by the White Oak Bayou Trail. I haven't been able to determine if someone actually owns them in low-rent apartment complex adjacent to the field or if they are truly strays. They appear to be pets and are being fed by someone. They are light brown/blonde, floppy ears, boxer/pit/hound in appearance, 40-50 lbs. Very cute. It's possible the owner lives in the apartment complex and has had to let the dogs out or be evicted. In the meantime, I find this situation very upsetting and don't know what to do besides calling animal control, which I have done reluctantly. These dogs seem nice, but are scared. They bark at people and other dogs, but have not done anything to warrant vicious dog status. Any suggestions or help rescuing these girls would be appreciated. I can't take them in. Thanks, --nancy
