Please help! My name is Jasmine. I am a 3-1/2 year old female Pit Bull /Lab mix, and weigh 75 pounds. I have a beautiful Brindle coat, dark brown with tan stripes. I am in excellent health (always have been), am up to date with my vaccinations. I live with my family (adult owners Joe and Barb and their 7 year old son) I also share my house with 2 cats, a gerbil and a parakeet. Also, up until this past June, I lived with my friend Chad, a 13 year old shepherd/retreiver, who sadly died of cancer. I am very happy here. I love to run in the woods, and like long walks. I am pretty smart and know how to sit, stay, and come. I love to have my family watch TV with me.
Sounds pretty good, right? Here's the problem. I have always felt like I was the boss, but I know that Chad was the real head of the household. Now that he's gone, I really can't stand the cats and don't want them around me anymore. Barb won't send them packing, so I have just been bossing them around. Barb and Joe don't like that. I also think that I shouldn't have to share my house with anyone (PETS) other than the people who run the household. I know that Joe and Barb agree. They have been trying to find me a new home where I will be the only animal under the roof, but they haven't been very successful.
A word or two from Joe.
Jasmine is a very lovable girl, but, she does have aggression issues with other animals who live in the same house. She no longer tolerates the cats being near her. She also is demonstrating aggressive behavior towards my 7 year old son.
She is completely respectful towards me and she is obedient to my commands as well. She needs to be in a house where she is the only animal. Possibly with only one owner.
Unfortunately, her time is growing short. I have checked with all the local shelters / adoption groups, but they all say they have no room for her, or that she is not adoptable. I have listed her online, but with no success. I will not allow her to stay with us for much longer. I have decided that I will keep her no longer than December 21st. Please help! If you have a home for her, or know of one, please contact me. I would be willing to drive and deliver her up to 100 miles from North Jersey. I can be contacted at:
