My Aloe plicatilis plants were just coming into bloom when we had several hard frosts (-4 degrees C) in a row in the last week of June. All inflorescences have been burnt off by the frost - they are now shrivelled up and black. Bummer!
The same thing has happened to Aloe petrophile and A. cameronii, but A. inyangensis and A. pictifolia are in full bloom and the flowers are unscathed. Has anyone else had problems with frost burning off inflorescences on winter flowering aloes?
