Again, I totally agree with Kristin. Wanting a sense of control in her life, Sherry got tested. Now she can, as Kristin said, live her life in accordance with her health. I am not sure what I would do if the question of whether or not I should be tested for a genetic disease came up. However, zillions of things have to be looked at to come up with the answer. Only the person being tested should make the decision, and his/ her family members and friends must repect and support that decision.
