I definitely agree with Jackie that being tested for the genetic marker would provide a false sense of security. Only a small percentage of breast cancer is caused by inheritance. Once a person is told that she does not have the genetic marker she must realize that she must then enter the regular population. If she thinks that she wont ever get it because she doesn't have the marker she is extremely far from the truth. I think the doctor's must make it very clear to the woman that she still has a chance of getting breast cancer and must continue to have regular check ups.
